About the Course
The Junior Herpetologist Program is a 4-week combined in-person/online program designed for kids who want to learn all about reptiles!
Each week focuses on a different reptile group including snakes, lizards, crocodilians, turtles and tortoises. Student will learn what makes reptiles unique through their anatomy, behavior, habitat, diet and environment. The program also includes myth-busting discussions, a light introduction to conservation and touches on amphibians and invertebrates.
Classes meet once a week and include hands-on activities with live reptiles, take home lessons, and additional worksheets to allow for out of the classroom learning. This program is designed to educate and not push for reptile ownership.
