Native Species Introduction Workshop for the Community
This workshop is designed for anyone who likes to spend time outdoors! Come learn about the native species we have in PA, how to know if they are venomous, where they like to hide-out and how to ensure you and your family enjoy the outdoors with our cold-blooded neighbors!

Workshop Outline:
We’ll cover the native species found here in Pennsylvania, how to tell what species you are seeing in the wild and how to keep yourself, family and our native wildlife safe during your outdoor adventures!
Topics include:
Commonly seen native species of reptiles
Key markings to determine what species you are seeing
Where different species can usually be found- helpful for herping with the kids or trying to avoid a venomous snake during a hike
Tips for coming across native reptiles
Conservation, fun facts and more!
